Bio:

Scott is a former senior government official who has served as a spokesman and key advisor to a governor, mayor, and private sector CEOs. As deputy chief of staff to New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez, he oversaw half of the state’s cabinet agencies, as well administration-wide policy development, communications, and budget management. Scott has led nationally recognized policy, research, and advocacy work on issues ranging from charter school expansion to urban crime-fighting.

Scott is a respected and effective instructor, twice earning the Certificate of Distinction in Teaching for his work as a teaching fellow at Harvard University. Scott trains rising business leaders on civic engagement and state and local public policy. His passion for teaching, expertise in driving policy change, and care for people has led Scott to co-found and lead Reformers Academy, a national training and talent development organization for policy professionals in the fields of healthcare and education.

Scott previously served on the Community Advisory Board from 2019-2025.
