The New Mexico Higher Education Graduate Scholarship is a scholarship aimed at increasing enrollment of underrepresented groups to graduate programs. The MPP currently has two students that have received this scholarship and we are very proud to have them as a part of our program.

Natasha Davalos is finishing her first year in the program. She is a tribal member of the Mescalero Apache Tribe and received her Bachelor of Science in Family and Child Studies and a minor in Psychology from the University of New Mexico. She is pursuing her MPP because she is motivated to make a difference in the lives of those most vulnerable to hardships.

Gary Haldane will join the MPP in the fall. He graduated from UNM in Fall 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology. Gary is an Alaska Native and is pursuing his  MPP so that he can help his community rectify past injustices and help them set up a sustainable future.
